A $5 million lawsuit alleges that the city of Fort Wadsworth, New York is responsible for the motorcycle death of a teenager. The 19-year-old was killed in April when he was struck by a car whose driver swerved to avoid potholes in the road. The driver hit the young man and threw him from his motorcycle, causing him to land in the road and be run over by another oncoming vehicle. The lawsuit, filed by the young man's estate, names as defendants the city and both of the driver's involved in the accident. According to the filing, "the city failed to properly maintain the roadway and the other defendants were negligent in operating their vehicles."
