Lawsuit: Doctor Failed to Tell Patient of Cancer Diagnosis

An Illinois woman has filed a lawsuit alleging that her father's doctor failed to inform him that he had cancer, which later killed him. According to the lawsuit, the doctor told the plaintiff's father that he was cancer-free following the removal of a tumor. The plaintiff alleges that her father's chance of survival would have improved significantly had they known about the cancer earlier, instead of going a year without treatment. The man died in April 2013 of bladder cancer.
