Husband of N.J. woman killed in personal watercraft crash gets $2.88M settlement

The man who caused the crash, Julien Trayno, 32, of Cattenom, France, admitted he didn't speak English, had never been on a personal watercraft before and rode negligently, the report said.  

Employees for Fury Water Adventures rushed through their instructions before the 10 customers were permitted on the water and allowed Trayano to ride even when he indicated he didn't understand the safety measures, the report said.

Once on the water, Trayano headed in the wrong direction and was allowed to continue riding after being given a warning, according to the attorney for Kim's widower.
